LRC Foundation

Our overarching purpose is to contribute to innovative and improved agricultural production and enhanced quality of agricultural produce, food security, increased incomes and enhanced job creation for agricultural workers and other agricultural value chain actors in Africa. We do this by facilitating the exchange and dissemination of agricultural knowledge, skills and information, promotion of technology use and adoption, establishment of market linkages and fostering linkages and cooperation between sector players and stakeholders.

What we do

Agricultural technical vocational education and training, skills development, capacity building and knowledge dissemination.
LRC Foundation is strengthening Latia Agripreneurship Institute as a centre of excellence, expanding practical skills-based training models, leveraging technology for knowledge dissemination, and fostering strategic partnerships to improve agricultural productivity and livelihoods among smallholder farmers across Kenya and Africa.
Agriculture value chains optimization, innovation and livelihoods development
LRC Foundation promotes inclusive agripreneurship by strengthening the capacity of farmers, producer organizations, women, youth, and vulnerable groups through skills development, seed financing, value chain enhancement, technology adoption, and improved access to markets, enabling them to increase productivity, profitability, and sustainable livelihoods.
Climate change mitigation and adaptation
LRC Foundation advances climate-smart agriculture by promoting sustainable farming practices, agroforestry, efficient water and land management, renewable energy adoption, and food loss reduction to strengthen farmers’ resilience, enhance productivity, and mitigate the impacts of climate change.
